WING DRAG
A new drag system that is as easy to set as star drag and as easy to understand as lever drag.
The drag is operated by moving the wing back and forth, with four levels of drag adjustment. The amount of change is approximately 400-500g per click from the initial drag value set by the preset knob.
【Setting the Drag】
When setting the drag to its weakest level (4 levels up to MAX):
① Push the Wing Drag forward.
② Rotate the preset knob to set the initial drag value.
③ Pull the Wing Drag backward to adjust the drag value gradually.
■ When setting the drag to the middle level (2 levels up to MIN, 2 levels up to MAX):
① Place the Wing Drag in the center as shown in the photo.
② Rotate the preset knob to set the initial drag value.
③ Pushing the Wing Drag forward decreases the drag value, while pulling it backward increases the drag value.
3 types of spools
Adopts a system that allows easy spool replacement with a single screw on the gear box side.
The following 3 types of spools are suitable for almost all offshore situations. Even the fishing items change in one trip, you can simply change the spool without having to change the reel.
①Standard spool…PE No. 2 300m. Covers light jigging such as jigging for blue fish in nearby waters.
③ Deep groove spool…PE No. 2 600m. Deep groove design for mid-deep sea jigging. *Sold separately
③Shallow groove spool…PE1.5 300m. For lighter fishing than standard spools. *Sold separately
[How to replace the spool]
The palming cup can be easily removed by simply loosening the screw on the gear box side, and the spool can be replaced.
Winding Power Inherited from Blue Heaven
Featuring an aluminum machined-cut gearbox and frame, equipped with high modulus gears inherited from Blue Heaven. Excellent body rigidity that remains undistorted even under load from the drag, combined with the high modulus gears, has enabled the realization of strong winding power. The transmission efficiency of the winding power has been increased by 9%※ compared to other 300-class competitors.

2-Speed Level Winder
We have adopted a linked level winder system. Furthermore, we have introduced a two-speed function to the level winder.
By incorporating a two-speed function that alternates between close winding and cross winding during the reciprocation of the level winder, it ensures that there is no line bite even under high loads, allowing for a secure and confident fight with the fish.
Wide spool
BS35 uses a wide spool.
By widening the spool, there is little change in the amount of winding due to water depth, making it possible to perform jig actions as you imagine.
Heavy duty clutch
While other companies' clutch bars in the same class are made of plastic, the BS35's clutch bar and cam are made of stainless steel, making it one class higher in strength and durability.
Additionally, the clutch bar is coated with DLC to reduce friction when it makes contact with the pinion gear, ensuring smooth clutch operation even under high loads and long-term use.
Carbon drag washer + stainless drag disc
The combination of a carbon drag washer and a stainless steel drag disc provides a smooth initial motion and stable drag force, ensuring excellent drag performance even during long fights.
Waterproof design of drag
The drag system consisting of multiple drag washers is covered with waterproof rubber.
This prevents water from entering the drag disc even in offshore situations where it is constantly covered with water, contributing to a stable drag at all times.
New concept handle design
The handle knob is designed with the fight against large fish in mind and employs AG41 material. The handle arm features a variable system with lengths of 76mm and 63mm, designed to provide counterbalance at 76mm and complete balance at 63mm.
For jigging aimed at pelagic fish, the 76mm counterbalanced handle makes jig operation easier, while for targeting cutlassfish or using tai rubber jigs, the fully balanced 63mm handle allows for effortless one-pitch or constant-speed retrieval. This allows for customized settings based on target species and fishing techniques, all with a single handle.
