Corot SR "Compact and round" shallow crank
COmpact ROundish Technician = COROT. The name, which translates directly to a small, round technician, represents the concept of this lure.
The body shape of the hip-up shape reduces roll of the belly hook by intentionally holding down the roll, improving snagless performance when the cover is in contact. For cranking by straight retrieve, the shallow range can be used, and when the rod is set up, slow retrieve can be used to wake on the water surface.
Castability brought by "small and round"
If you focus on the concentration of mass, the shape naturally approaches a sphere. As with baseball, if you increase the distance and accuracy of the shape without relying on the internal structure, it is inevitable to get closer to the ball. Hip up shape
Corot SR has a hip-up shape with the tail side facing upwards. This suppresses the rolling action and is a wobbling-based action. The purpose of suppressing rolling is to improve snagless performance by suppressing the sideways rolling of the belly hook.
Also, as a by-product of the hip-up shape, the smooth dive orbit can be mentioned. Especially when the bass that was being tracked was hit, the hit rate at the final timing is increased because the climbing trajectory near the winding is smooth and the action does not collapse.
# 6 hooks around front and back
Corot SR uses # 6 hooks on both front and rear. This is because a fat body with a wide width may not be able to take a bus hit into a hook unless it has a certain hook size. However, if the front and rear # 6 hooks are set on a short body with a total length of less than 50 mm, the hooks usually become entangled with each other. In Corot SR, the hooks between hooks are eliminated by making the abdominal and rear eight cans horizontal.
The hook uses a treble hook made of chemically polished black nickel, which is a straight point but the point is slightly inward.
Tactics
Straight retrieve
The maximum dive depth of Korot SR is about 1m, but the practical range is up to ~ 60cm for practical use. You can swim shallow range with wide wobbling action. Since the cover avoidance is high, it can be used effectively as a shallow range cover crank.
Waking
If you lift the rod and do a slow retrieve, it will function as a wake bait. You can swim with wide wobbling while surfing the water.
Surface plugging
It is also effective to operate on the water surface by taking advantage of the high buoyancy of Corot SR. The versatility of movement, such as a responsive left and right turn, and a kickback after an instant dive, is as high as a top water plug.
