Description
CB.NagamasaLong flat body center balanced jig

Nagamasa, with its long flat body, center balance, and razor edge back design, catches water on its long flat surface and slides long horizontally due to its center balanced center of gravity, appealing to fish the more the line tension is set free during the falling action.

Characteristics
Jerking at a slow speed, rather than a high-speed short pitch jerk, and moving freely without line tension when falling will produce a long slide with a fluttering action.

The trick is to retrieve the rod slowly while bouncing the tip up about 30 cm after landing on the bottom, intentionally creating line slack and giving the jig a time lag that allows it to slide into action. This method is especially effective for yellowtail kingfish. When jerking up after the slide, the knife-edge on the back will cut the water, causing the jig to dart and swim.

When dropping the jig to the desired depth, free line tension can easily cause line trouble with other jigs due to the wind and current, so it is best to drop the jig while applying tension by lightly pinching the line so as not to miss any unexpected bites while falling.

The razor edge-back design allows for extremely good drainage, so there is no pulling weight.
