The reel seat and grip are crucial for anglers connecting the rod and reel. To enhance its fundamental performance, the reel seat utilizes SHIMANO's exclusive carbon fiber reinforced resin CI4+, a material also found in bicycle parts and high-end rods. This lightweight and highly sensitive design significantly surpasses the standards of current entry-level rods. The grip is designed for easy casting by anyone, employing EVA materials of varying stiffness in appropriate positions to create a new specification. This stable grip allows for more precise casting.
Considering different performance requirements for different parts, the lower part of the gray reel seat uses a soft, comfortable material, while the black foregrip uses a firm, durable EVA material.

Using a distinctive gray and black base color, accented with a sophisticated, bright gold, the gunner version features the BASS ONE XT grip, while the spinner version uses the SAHARA grip, achieving a visually appealing combination. While the previous model used carbon fiber, the protective tapered sections (#1, #2V) are further reinforced with a layer of wrapped thread.
