"Spiral Torque"
Built using the Magnus construction method, this mid-range fighter rod is reinforced with spiral torque fibers, giving it supple control and responsive power. Marked with the “Ogre’s Spear,” it targets a wide range of 2–6kg class fish with light lures in an aggressive style.
Designed for everything from medium-sized trout to big bass and global trout species (excluding salmon), it’s battle-tested to handle unexpected monsters over 10kg. The rod has proven power and torque that give anglers the confidence to go after big targets.
It excels as a twitching and jerking rod, particularly for plugging techniques.
A collapsible folding guide is equipped on the butt guide for improved portability, making it ideal for travel and quick deployment anywhere.
This rod was made for anglers who seek adventure. Wherever your next unknown waters await, it will be the trusted partner that rises to the occasion.
Magnus Technology
X3G × HDML × COS × OMT
X3G – Xross 3rd Generation
The backbone of Magnus construction, X3G uses cutting-edge materials like TORAY's T1100G and M40X carbon prepreg to achieve 30% more tensile strength than conventional options. The materials are exclusively Japanese carbon, precisely engineered for optimal performance.
Advanced composites such as boron, titanium, 4-axis weave, bias carbon, and aramid are integrated per application. The resin used in M40X employs Nanoalloy technology for exceptional durability and transmission sensitivity.
The rod’s cross-sectional behavior—shifting from oval to round rapidly—enables snap-back recovery that’s both crisp and elastic. Even with a slow taper, the rod avoids unnecessary wobble or flutter, reducing noise feedback and enhancing sensitivity.
HDML – High-Density Multi-Layer
The blank uses a layered structure, placing high modulus carbon at the innermost layer, and mid- to low-modulus carbon toward the exterior. Even ultra-thin tubular tips under 1.2mm in diameter use 100% carbon in all directions (vertical, horizontal, and bias). This approach offers higher strength and lightness than traditional glass-carbon hybrids.
COS – Cutting Optimized for Straightness
Instead of mass-production-oriented cutting, the Magnus blanks are cut to match each model’s mandrel taper with precision. This allows the carbon fibers to align more linearly along the rod’s axis, reducing twist and deformation, and resulting in superior break strength and straightness.
OMT – Optimized Material Tuning
Where traditional rods rely heavily on mandrel taper, Magnus design allows complete freedom in combining various carbon types and structures. This leads to tailor-made blanks optimized for action, stiffness, and taper—far beyond what mandrel shape alone can achieve.
