This Neko Rig-specific worm, Wriggler, designed by the innovative Aoki Tetsu, is meticulously crafted to optimize water resistance during shaking and swimming. By simply adjusting the hook position, you can achieve a short-distance shake mode or a swimming mode that generates moderate vibrations. Even without a guard hook, it excels in snag resistance, and slightly tightening the line significantly boosts its ability to avoid getting caught.

Additionally, the body, primarily designed with a flat surface, is according to Aoki Tetsu’s theory, also enhances the hooking rate.

Straight Worm Designed for Minimal Movement Shaking

Shorter Movement for Precision Targeting Due to High Water Resistance

Neko Rig is a staple in finesse fishing, with the most basic setup using a straight worm. However, typical straight worms tend to move away from the target point when shaken. To address this, Imakatsu developed the Wriggler, a straight worm designed to keep bass attracted to a single point.

The Wriggler features a flat-headed design that increases water resistance at the head, allowing it to stay in place during shaking without drifting toward the angler. This makes it ideal for precise point shaking, especially around light cover where drop shot rigs struggle, or when bass under pressure are focused on bottom-feeding.

Adaptable for Swimming by Changing Hook Position

The Wriggler is set up for optimal shaking by inserting the hook from the head to the segment section. Alternatively, by inserting the hook into the segment and exiting through the tail, it can be used for swimming. Simply reeling it in will cause the entire body to vibrate, creating an appearance of a creature that bass have never seen before.
