Product Introduction:
"If you could only take one rod, which one would you take?"

The long-awaited spinning model has been released in Finch's Canary series, which is developed based on this concept.
I've been asked for years why I haven't tried spinning, but in fact, I've been working on it behind the scenes.
After more than a year of trial and error, we developed a spinning model with the idea of "taking only one rod" in mind.
This model inherits the versatility of the popular Canary 68ML, which has not had a model change for many years.
The rods proposed by Finch are fun to cast and practical.
The 66ML is born, and you'll be amazed by the potential of this rod.

This rod was created based on the experience of Genkiman, who goes to various places both domestically and internationally every month.
It was created based on the concept of taking only one rod, and if you take one, this is it.
If you're going on a family trip or business trip, you might find a good fishing spot, so you might as well try swinging the rod.
This is a 4-piece rod that you can slip into the corner of your car, suitcase, or bag for times like these.

The Canary 66ML is a rod with no set target, aimed at anything and everything that lurks there.
The target is up to you.
The target around the user is everything.
The Canary 66ML was created after repeated testing in various environments while fishing in six countries: Japan, Hong Kong, Russia, Thailand, China, and Macau.
Fish caught during testing include sea bass, black porgy, pufferfish, grouper, bigfin reef squid, rockfish, and horse mackerel in saltwater.
In freshwater, black bass, peacock bass, small to large trout, catfish, starry spotted goby, largemouth carp, and more.
This rod can be used to target a wide range of targets, from small to medium-sized.

・Action
The rod action is a fast taper.
The feature is the "high-rebound" solid tip.
Solid lures are often thought of as dull, but by adding high-rebound solid lures, we have created a rod with an overall crisp image.
It has tension, but by incorporating solid lures, it responds smoothly to feeding.
The image is that the solid tip feels natural, and the strong belly and butt are used to catch the lure.

・Casting
You can comfortably control the cast from about 1g to 25g.
The image is that light rigs are cast with the tip, and heavy lures are cast with the belly.
I use Genkiman up to 30g. For fishing such as tip run, where you drop the lure straight down, it covers up to about 40g.
However, as explained in the video, please check the difference in the casting feel between 5g and 25g.

・Specifications
Basically, it can handle any lure that can be used.
It can handle everything from winding to bottom worming at a high level.
Especially for fine twitches, the balance setting is at hand, so it is now possible to add a high-level action.

It is also easy to deal with unexpected large fish.
In a word, it is an unbalanced rod just like the 68ML. However, this unbalance allows it to be highly versatile in a variety of situations.

From Genkiman:

It's finally finished... that's the truth.

There have been requests for a spinning rod for quite some time.

More delicate fishing and attacking that bait fishing can't do.

I like bait fishing rods, but I felt the need for a spinning rod in various situations, so I thought someday...

My goal was to develop a highly versatile spinning rod like the Canary 68ML.

And finally, the 66ML was completed, and when the final prototype was completed, I really thought that I had made a really good one.

The length is set to the limit, allowing fine adjustments and long casts.

It's the limit where if it was even a little longer or shorter, it would feel uncomfortable to use.

I was very particular about this length during the prototype development stage.
It's the perfect length for use on the shore or on a boat.
And we aimed for a rod that was "crisp."
It shouldn't feel heavy when you hold it, but you want the fish to feel comfortable when biting, and you don't want to lose control.
We cleared each problem one by one while imagining this extravagant dream.
A strong butt, a supporting belly, and a tip that makes it easy to feed.
It's easy to deal with even big fish that come unexpectedly.
It's a mysterious spinning rod.
We tried various solids for the feeding tip, but we came across a "super high-rebound" solid,
which eliminated the dullness typical of solids while creating a tip that makes it easy to feed without the discomfort of a solid.
The rod work is so easy that you wonder if it's really a solid tip.
We chose a medium-light rod after considering how it can be used with familiar fish and on short trips.
But only the top part is medium-light, and we think the rest is medium or stronger.
It's probably best to say that it has a medium-light feel but hides the power of a medium.
It can be cast up to about 25g. In my case, I use up to about 30g.
1g is a bit of an exaggeration, but a 5g lure and a 20g lure can be operated with the same feeling.
And the other day during tip run fishing, it was really good for operating a 40g squid lure.
I was surprised at how the tip was able to catch even the squid punch of a bigfin reef squid.
This is an excellent rod that will entertain you in all situations, from freshwater to saltwater, and even overseas fishing.
All of the Canary series are pack rods.
Today's pack rods have evolved rapidly in technology, so they don't feel heavy to hold and they bend naturally.
You can enjoy fishing with the same feeling as a one-piece rod.
In fact, you can even forget that it's a pack rod while fishing.
What are you aiming for with the Canary series?
I hope you like it.
