Material Features

Wearable insect repellent BUG OFF

The fabric is kneaded directly with insect repellent chemicals at the yarn stage to create a semi-permanent, long-lasting effect that can be expected to repel insects just by wearing it.

Mosquitoes, ticks, and other insects that are entangled in the surface of the fabric are detected by the sensory organs at the tips of their antennae and legs, and escape.

Note that it is not effective against larger insects such as bees and horseflies, depending on the time of contact with the fabric.

The chemicals used are reproductions of natural ingredients from the Asteraceae family, which have little effect on the human body, are tasteless, odorless, safe and secure (Oeko-Tex® certified by an international organization).

Oeko-Tex® is the world's highest level of safety certification for over 350 hazardous substances, far exceeding the Japanese safety standards, as well as for sustainable factories that take into consideration the impact on people involved in production and the environment.

The special coating provides high durability against washing and maintains its effectiveness (more than 90% of its effectiveness has been verified after 70 or more washings).
