Product Introduction:
A Japanese Short Rod Named “Kozue” (Small Branch)
Designed primarily for Japanese fishing environments—especially mountain streams and small rivers—the JetSetter 46C is a compact one-handed casting rod built around precision and control.
Its carefully tuned balance allows anglers to cast and manipulate lures comfortably using only their dominant hand.
Whether it's overhead casts, underhand casts, side casts, backhand casts, or flip casts, the rod offers exceptional versatility and freedom of movement.
The concept behind the rod is simple: in tight stream environments, anglers often need to place lures into extremely small targets beneath overhanging branches, beside fallen timber, or between rocks.
To achieve this, the 46C features a compact length that enables casting from virtually any angle, combined with a perfectly balanced “control center” design that eliminates any sense of tip-heaviness.
The result is a rod that makes casting enjoyable—a true one-handed casting and lure-control tool.
The rod was supervised by renowned trout angler Kenji Yamamoto, better known as “Yamaken.”
Unlike many traditional stream rods, the JetSetter 46C features a slightly crisper action with added backbone.
While retaining the spirit of the JetSetter series, it introduces a refreshed design language of its own.
The rod handles current effectively, delivers smooth and satisfying casting performance, and possesses enough power and resilience to withstand the surging runs of trophy-class trout.
Its 4'6" length strikes an exceptional balance between precision, maneuverability, and fish-fighting capability.
Of course, being a JetSetter rod, where you fish and what you target is entirely up to you.
If you're already thinking:
"This would probably be fun in the ocean, ponds, or lakes as well."
You're absolutely right.
The JetSetter 46C is far more than just a stream rod.
Includes a Dedicated “Rod Outfit”:
Rather than a conventional rod sleeve, the JetSetter 46C comes with what we call a dedicated “Rod Outfit.”
Created by Boukenyohin, a company also known for its outdoor apparel, this unique accessory was crafted by professional garment makers using actual clothing fabrics and apparel manufacturing techniques.
The rod outfit can store all four rod sections internally, or alternatively secure the grip section externally while keeping the reel attached.
Combining practicality, craftsmanship, and distinctive style, it perfectly reflects the JetSetter philosophy.
