X-wrapping suppresses torsion and vibration, while a fully re-engineered taper, guide setting, and grip ensure smooth control from cast to fight.

X-WRAPPING
By densely wrapping X-pattern carbon tape over the blank’s outermost layer, it suppresses rod twist generated during casting and fighting. Applied from tip to butt, it thoroughly eliminates unwanted torsion throughout the entire rod.


Fuji SKDPS REEL SEAT & BACK STOP LOCK NUT
Equipped with the trusted Fuji DPS reel seat, widely used on many casting rods. It also features a lock nut with a backstop mechanism to minimize loosening of the main nut— a reliable system that helps prevent the annoying issues that can occur during a fishing.


GRIP DESIGN
Based on tailwalk’s signature black, the design is kept clean and minimal with no unnecessary elements. Gunmetal metallic-silver accents add a refined, sophisticated touch.

The top guide features a high-strength stainless-frame + SiC ring guide that, thanks to its exceptionally low friction, delivers over 20× the line life of improved hard-ring guides. For the remaining blank guides, we use durable stainless-frame + Alconite ring guides.

An ML-class model with a length and taper optimized for easy casting from a boat.

Designed for excellent handling on deck, with a length and taper that make underhand casting easy. It handles topwater and sinking pencils up to 70 g max, and also excels with jigs around 30 g when targeting mid-size pelagic species. An ML-class offshore casting specialist that delivers strong performance despite its “basic” positioning.
