K = Kamasu (Barracuda)
M = Mebaru (Rockfish/Black rockfish)
48 = Body length 48mm

The AKM48 is a heavy sinking minnow developed for saltwater light game fishing, capable of handling a wide range of retrieves from slow to high-speed.

Variable Action：

Depending on retrieve speed and target species, the action changes:

Slow Retrieve → Rolling Action → Effective for Mebaru (rockfish)

Medium–High Retrieve → Wobbling Roll → Effective for Aji (horse mackerel) and Kamasu (barracuda)

Dual-Stage Sinking Behavior：

Upon splashdown → maintains horizontal posture with falling vibration, sinking to around 70cm.

Then gradually shifts to tail-down posture due to line resistance and tungsten weight, accelerating the sinking speed.

By adding rod twitches, it re-creates the horizontal falling vibration, allowing easy control of both sinking speed and range.

During twitching or irregular falls, the flat-sided body flashes strongly, effectively triggering bites.
