The Sobat 100 is the larger evolution of the legendary Sobat 80, one of the pioneering lip-equipped sinking pencils that blurred the line between a sinking pencil and a traditional minnow.

Built around the same innovative concept, the Sobat 100 automatically changes its swimming action according to retrieve speed, giving anglers two distinct presentations in a single lure.

Two Swimming Actions in One Lure

One of the Sobat 100's defining characteristics is its Variable Action.

During a slow retrieve, it produces a subtle swinging motion similar to a sinking pencil, naturally imitating a weak or vulnerable baitfish.

Increase the retrieve speed, and the lure transitions into a classic wobbling and rolling minnow action, generating stronger flash, vibration, and water displacement to trigger aggressive strikes.

This automatic change in behavior allows the lure to adapt naturally to different fishing conditions without changing lures.

Equipped with the MRD Weight Transfer System

The Sobat 100 features the MRD (Moving Rail Drive) Weight Transfer System.

During casting, the internal weight shifts rearward to maximize casting distance and flight stability.

Upon splashdown, the weight immediately returns to its optimal position, allowing the lure to begin swimming almost instantly and maximizing effective retrieve distance.

The result is excellent long-distance performance, even when casting into headwinds or targeting distant feeding zones.

Tuned for Stronger Current

Compared with the original Sobat 80, the Sobat 100 has been specifically refined for fishing in areas with stronger current.

Its slow-speed action has been intentionally softened, allowing the lure to remain stable in rivers, estuaries, and tidal currents without becoming overly aggressive.
