Product Introduction:
Furthermore, by attaching the optional extension grip, the rod's versatility expands dramatically, allowing it to handle:
Offshore Jigging, Inchiku, Tai Rubber Fishing
For vertical applications, it can comfortably work weights up to approximately 150g.
Its moderate stiffness also makes it highly suitable for jigging techniques that require actively working the lure.

“If You Could Bring Only One Rod, Which Would You Choose?”
A new member joins the CANARIA series, the rod lineup that embodies the spirit of FINCH fishing.
Concept: “Guide”
The CANARIA 62M is a rod that turns the angler into a conductor, directing every lure movement with precision.
It achieves an exquisite balance of maneuverability, power, and crisp responsiveness.
Genkiman’s playground spans the globe.
From the Amazon River in South America to urban rivers, the powerful currents of the Seto Inland Sea, the wetlands of Hokkaido, and even small neighborhood ponds.
Fishing seriously for a wide variety of species across such diverse environments inspired the creation of the CANARIA 62M—a rod designed to fill the missing piece.
The first priority was ease of lure control.
Even at maximum casting distance, we wanted anglers to be able to create sharp, responsive actions effortlessly.
At times, delicate and rapid consecutive twitches or dog-walk actions.
At times, powerful and extended long jerks.
At times, high-speed retrieves that make a lure glide across the surface.
To accommodate all of these techniques, the rod was designed with just the right amount of stiffness while retaining the power and tenacity of the CANARIA 610M, making rod work significantly easier.
However, achieving that “just right” stiffness was the greatest challenge.
A rod that is simply stiff—or too stiff—can easily cause lure action errors.
It can also increase the likelihood of fish throwing the hook due to enlarged hook holes or torn tissue after the strike.
We endlessly refined the tip, belly, and butt sections, adjusting their stiffness and power characteristics while also re-evaluating the overall rod length.
The result is:
A balance that minimizes fatigue even after a full day of casting and working lures.
Crisp responsiveness that accurately transmits the angler’s input.
Flexibility and resilience that bend deeply under load, reducing lost fish.
Powerful butt strength capable of stopping fish from charging into cover or structure.
How many prototypes did we build to find this balance?
We lost count.
Among all rods in the CANARIA series, the 62M underwent one of the longest testing periods and generated an extraordinary number of prototypes.
Because we refused to compromise, we can confidently say that it delivers the best overall balance we have ever achieved.
The newest member of the FINCH family is here:
