The DOVER 46 Slow Sinking is the smallest model in the DOVER series — a true "bite-triggering" micro minnow designed to eliminate unnatural cues and mimic suspended bait with remarkable precision. Though primarily targeting mebaru (rockfish), it also proves highly effective on sea bass during the coldest months, when fish activity drops to minimal levels.

By minimizing unnecessary weight, this lure achieves an extremely slow sinking profile that reacts sensitively even to slight water flow changes. Its subtle action convincingly imitates small baitfish, plankton, or tiny crustaceans — perfect for matching a micro bait pattern.

Compared to sinking pencils, the presence of a lip allows it to maintain intended retrieve lines more reliably, especially during slow retrieves. This makes it ideal for pinpoint fishing in rocky areas, where large mebaru often hold. One of the unique techniques this lure excels at is suspending in place near a strike zone — simply stop retrieving and let it hover naturally to invite a bite.
