As the flagship product of TRANSCENDENCE, the Late Bloomings 510+ rod remains unrivaled.
It’s been two years since the release of the LB510+. Over this period, the LB510 has been heavily tested in the field, and through this extensive use, we've incorporated feedback from real-world conditions into the materials, manufacturing methods, and design to create the Late Bloomings 510+ Rev 2.0.
The 4-in-1 system, which allows the rod to be adjusted to four different lengths using a single set, remains unchanged. However, we have fine-tuned the carbon material and revised the carbon strength (carbon content).
Additionally, each section of the rod has been optimized for better handling, long-distance casting, and reduced weight. The reel seat now features an ACS system, making it more compatible with the type of fishing that the LB510+ will be used for. The previously used red thread and aluminum parts have been replaced with a gunmetal cosmetic design. This rod has been further refined as the ultimate versatile rod, perfect for taking on trips, and one that we confidently recommend.
From the LB510, which excels in low-boat fishing both abroad and in Japan, to the LB62, which is designed for high-speed jerking by taking advantage of its jigging game capabilities and long grip, to the LB73, which is ideal for casting games from the shore with the addition of an extension section to the short grip, and finally to the LB77, which can handle even pirarucu with its strong yet flexible blanks, this rod is an excellent choice for various fishing styles.
LB510 (3-piece + Short Grip) for short-length lure fishing
The LB510 is a 5'10" short-length rod developed mainly for peacock bass, toman, and barramundi fishing in low boats, particularly in South America. This length is also ideal for big-lure fishing targeting Japanese sea bass during the Konoshiro pattern (a seasonal baitfish pattern in Japan). Since the LB510 is not an overly stiff rod, it can cast lures as light as 10g. However, it also has the versatility to handle and control lures from 50g to 130g, especially when used in topwater games abroad, where the LB510's excellent maneuverability truly shines. Its lightness, security, and handling capabilities set it apart from single-species-tested rods or simple heavy rods.
The LB510 is based on Late Bloomings' core concept of absorbing the force of the fish across the entire rod. The strength and flexibility of the blanks have been further refined from Rev 1.0. By revising the use of high-elasticity 4-axis carbon and fine-tuning the setup of each section, the rod's overall lightness has been significantly improved.
Target species: Peacock bass, barramundi, trahira, toman, giant snakehead (Goonch), cachorra, sea bass, largemouth bass, and more.
LB62 (3-piece + Long Grip) for Jigging
The LB62 is a model with an adjustable grip based on the LB510.
This rod is ideal for games where a long grip is crucial, such as jigging. In Rev 2.0, the #1 and #2 sections have been adjusted to better handle larger targets. The blanks, specialized for jig control, possess the flexibility to take on targets weighing around 10 kg. It can also handle relatively rough fights, and in slow jigging style, it can accommodate even larger targets.
Depending on the jig and sea conditions, the rod is suitable for depths of up to about 250 meters. It can easily handle fish such as yellowtail kingfish and medium-sized amberjack. In addition to slow-pitch jigging, it can also handle high-pitch jigging without any issues.
Moreover, it is also perfect for big-lure sea bass games, such as the Konoshiro pattern in Tokyo Bay. The LB62's long grip, along with the short grip of the LB510, can be used based on the angler’s preference. When using the LB62, you can strike the grip against your arm to utilize the recoil to move the lure. Whether it’s a 130g lure or more, the LB510 and LB62 can handle them with ease, making them excellent companions not only for Konoshiro sea bass fishing but also for jigging and international fishing trips.
Target species: Yellowtail kingfish, amberjack, all types of slow jigging targets, wolf fish, Konoshiro sea bass, etc.
LB73 (4pc + Short Grip) for Long Cast Lure Fishing
LB77 (4pc + Long Grip) for Long Cast Lure Fishing and Big Target Games
With a length of 7.3 feet, this rod provides the necessary casting distance for high-access locations or when long casting is required during expeditions. The design emphasizes usability, ensuring that the grip does not hinder actions during use.
By extending the length to 7.7 feet, this rod allows for fighting techniques that involve bracing against the body. This capability enables it to handle big targets like the Pirarucu. It can absorb the power of fish, making it possible to catch freshwater fish weighing around 30 kg with the LB77.
Additionally, the LB77 is highly versatile for targeting rockfish games such as Red Snapper and Banded Sea Bream, as well as freshwater species like Giant Catfish, Bull Shark, Redfish, Grouper, and Sea Bass.
Target Species: Sea Bass, Red Snapper, Banded Sea Bream, Giant Catfish, Grouper, Redfish, Pirarucu, Itoi (Taimen), Ganyui, Thorman, Alligator Gar, Mangal, etc.
