Originally inspired by cutting and using the grub tail. At Smith, we are not just tail-cutting existing products, but designing special models with more specialized performance as imo grubs and delivering them from the original Gary Yamamoto brand.

Development concept

Improved slide fall and castability

Speaking of imo grub is a slide fall. In designing a special model this time, it has become a design that is conscious of the rear center of gravity to polish by this slide fall performance. Needless to say, this also plays a role in improving castability.

However, if the body taper is too extreme, the hooking performance when using the offset hook will be hindered. If the part where the hook point is located becomes too thick, the gap will be narrowed, resulting in frequent skipping.

In terms of design, it goes without saying that the body taper was pursued without sacrificing hooking performance. This is why the body taper of imo grub 60 is slower than imo grub 40. It is the result of pursuing body taper as long as the hooking rate is not hindered when a hook of the appropriate size is actually attached.

Reducing head lacerations

Imo grub that is mostly used with no sinker with an offset hook. Inevitably, the casting force was concentrated on the worm head, so this part of the laceration was particularly worrisome.

Therefore, the strength of this part is secured by increasing the diameter of the head.

Tactics

Structure capture

One way to use the slide fall performance of imo grub is to capture a structure that is usually difficult to capture.

Implant grabs can be sent to the good spot by falling while keeping the line tension of "not loose", such as underhanging trees, piers, spatula platforms, mooring boats, etc.

High Pressure Lake capture

imo grub itself does not have strong appeal performance. However, it is a low-impact for the bass, and it is also the biggest reason why it is effective for the bass.

It is also an effective way to leave a slacked slewing or bottoming, especially for slender bass and bass that are exhausted for some reason.
